How to find your team’s unique purpose (even when you’re part of a global enterprise).

Sales Team Vision & Mission Workshop (A Jarther+ Case Study)

Here’s the challenge:

High performance teams need to feel they have identity and purpose if they are to reach their full potential. Multinational organisations however, tend to reward conformity. Jarther+ helped this sales team find a balance that lets them feel in control of their own destiny, even within one of the world’s largest cloud and software companies.

Here’s our response:

Jarther+ organised and facilitated a half-day workshop, leading the team through a series of exercises to imagine what their ideal future at the company could look like. Using a proprietary Jarther+ framework, the workshop produced a succinct and powerful ‘plan on a page’ that clearly articulated the team’s shared playbook, including purpose, roles, big rocks and their rhythm of business.

More importantly, here are the impacts:

A significant improvement in alignment and renewed confidence in communicating their impact to the wider business has already unlocked more global funding. They team also presented their ‘plan on a page’ to global, who then requested a similar roll out for other teams. It’s a significant win for the humble sales team from Australia, looking to build purpose and garner recognition within one of the world’s largest global technology organisations.
